The good news is i’m in paeds department again, but d bad news is i was unable 2 be supervised by my ex supervisor who was Dr. N. She left us after my 3rd year paeds posting and she did told us that she’ll meet us again in 5th year but she went abroad 2 further her study.
Being in paeds dept. we were posted 2 teluk intan 4 d 1st 2 weeks. with fresh brain dat doesn’t register anytink regarding paediatric yet. I were left blank 4 d 1st week in teluk intan. ehhehhe.. plus d lazy 2 read attitude dat i have.. dats make it worst..
We were doing general paeds 4 d 1st week and neonate 4 d 2nd week. they were lots of diffrence in examining paeds patient as compare 2 adult patient. as i found dat it’s more interesting becos it’s involve toys and finally i found patients dat interested in touching my little teddy bear that i hang at my stethoscope.. ahahha.. wonder whether d tinks is contagious and loaded with lots of bacterias and viruses or not.. ngggeeeee..:D
well, of cos me and other 6 of my colleague were being assign under Dr W. The nicest doctor in paeds. he thought us how should a medical student act like and behave like. Being our usual routine is stay @ the ward sharp @ 8am and goin back @ 5pm. LUnch hour is only 1 hour wic start @ 1pm and end @ 2pm.
hMMmppphh.. but being d most noisiest n laziest in d grup. i escaped several times of cos.. ehhehe… not 2 mention delaying my self 2 go 2 d wards due to overslept syndrome.. but luckily never being caught .. ahhaha..
examining d paeds patients n taking history from d parents is quite interesting, becos d parents knws wat actually their baby have although the baby was unable 2 tell them.. i wonder how did they do that. it’s like a baby is crying frequently and the mother knows dat he actually a tummy ache.. hmmpphh this must b d ability dat all mothers have.. super mom i guess.. ehehhee..
rounds is another tingy.. being prepare n not doesn’t mean anytink.. we were unable 2 present our cases anyway.. however, it’s worth preparing.. 4 d sake of learning. we were designated under Prof O 4 rounds and team. She was d type dat doesn’t bother much about us, and assume us as n extra furniture n though that we’re invisible.. ehehhe.. but one day in the fine 6th week of our posting.. she suddenly notice our appearance… hmmppmm wonder wat trigger dat ae..
being in paeds posting, we were not escaped from lot of seminars n case presentation of cos.. n we were d lucky people 2 be under Prof B d famous paeds cardiologist in our faculty. she is a great teacher, n never like students who are lazy and do shortcuts.. she really wants her students 2 learn and improve their knowledge.. of cos knowing her perfectionist attitude.. we were dire 2 prepare our seminars a week b4 d actual date. n show her a day before d presentation however we were unable 2 do dat cos she’s busy marking exam papers. so we did surprise her wif our presentation.. all of us got excellent marks 4 our accessment.. goosssssshhh.. excellent relief..

oncall in nicu is d best, being no need 2 cover d cases in nicu… n going bck after d oncall round.. but d bad tinks about it was we always got 2 do oncall in nice during weekends.. sigh.. ehhehe.. but once we were manage 2 escaped nicu rounds and went 4 nisa’ n shahir weddings.. hhmmpphh.. of cos being scolded by d MO’s n specialist on call.. but being d most ignorance students.. we did our poker face again… ahhahhaha..
of cos being in paeds department.. we can’t escape from d usual exam.. luckily it was quite easy n my clinical got good n cooperative patients.. hmmpphh,,, hope 4 d best 4 my exam.. crossing my fingers..
cheers
cheers
